Sustainable Recruitment Solutions (SRS) is a boutique recruitment company helping organisations active across the Middle East hire environmental & sustainability staff. We are currently hiring a unique role for someone to help one of our consulting clients appoint a dedicated Manager for the next phase of the development of their in-house Sustainability Data Management System (SDMS) that enables clients to enter and save ESG and broader sustainability data. The position spans two technical worlds. The application of IT in a B2B setting and, secondly, a thorough understanding of sustainability, including reporting and reporting standards. The principal focus will be to assess the existing SDMS and develop and execute a marketing strategy that leverages our client base, the existing SDMS infrastructure and a regional market that is open to digital solutions for sustainability. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a track-record of success in a similar role. They will be expected to take responsibility for the development, marketing and organisation of software development/coding and any maintenance work that is required. They will be the first point of contact for clients and possess the necessary confidence and skill to present clearly and effectively. The candidate must be able to demonstrate a very keen understanding of software technologies, platforms and how they may resolve technical implementation issues for clients. The candidate is responsible for the planning and development of front end and back-end specifications of sustainability data management systems and digital reporting. The candidate is able to translate business requirements into technical documentations. The candidate should be able to clearly communicate all the technical requirements to the web-developer. The candidate is responsible for overall quality of the sustainability data management system and digital reporting. He must ensure a smooth deployment and testing of new features before release. Preferably, the candidate must also demonstrate that they have a working knowledge of sustainability standards and disclosures such as GRI, SASB, TCFD, CDP, and be familiar with GCC Exchanges’ ESG disclosure requirements. Requirements Proven working experience in a similar role Excellent client-facing capabilities Excellent knowledge of existing and emerging technologies Knowledge and expertise in data security standards and requirements Hands-on experience of software development, computer networks and network administration Excellent spoken and written English, Arabic a plus.
