Education Qualification

  • Mechanical degree or Diploma Holder.
Job Description
  • Perform documenting dimensional, visual, painting and welding inspections to the drawing or applicable procedures.
  • Read part drawings issued by OEM to understand the required tolerances.
  • Documenting non-conforming material utilizing an NCR (nonconforming materials) process.
  • Review inspection reports & checklists issued by operations and ensure they are in accordance with the required OEM tolerances/API or ISO standards.
  • Reviewing and verify internal and external qualifications of suppliers, welders, NDE personnel with regard to.
  • Non-Destructive Examinations (NDE), welding procedures, painting procedures and/or other applicable requirements.
  • Reviewing and approve suppliers manufacturing and testing documents/procedures and to take care. for approval (when required) of these documents by the customer, his customer and the authorized inspection body.
  • Preparing and define test and inspection requirements for the required projects such as ITP and procurement specifications.
  • Inspection of spare parts issued by OEM, in addition to parts machined and fabricated in-house. Ensure parts comply to the drawings issued by OEM.
  • Coordinate with vendors and take corrective action plan to reduce rejection & rework.
  • Analysis of quality issues related to pump shop, machine shop & welding shop errors in order to achieve the desired target.
  • Ensure welding repairs are done w.r.t WPS/PQR.
  • Review final assembly reports & checklists issued by operations and ensure they are in accordance with the required OEM tolerances/API or ISO standards.
  • Handle TPI/Customer inspections.
  • Ensuring timely calibration & certification of Gauges, Instruments.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of welding, NDE and quality systems
  • Knowledge of API 610 standard for pumps.
  • Knowledge of the established quality standards, laws and regulations of national and international authorities.
  • Must have knowledge of inspection equipment generally found in machining, assembly and test operations of pumps and associated accessories.
  • Must have knowledge in reading OEM part drawings to understand tolerances.
  • Flexible, eager to learn, accurate, analytical with positive, can-do attitude.
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel.
  • Good interpersonal, communication, negotiation, analytical and presentation skills.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Operational Excellence & High Level of Customer Service Standard.
  • Engineering with 5-8 years relevant experience in Pump's OEM or service environment.
Benefits
  • This position offers with a total salary of QAR 10,000 to QAR 11,000 per month.
