JACOBS has a strong track record in helping many of the world’s global cities develop visionary strategic designs and due to continued investment within the region our Middle East operation now seeks a Junior Code Developer who is keen to gain exposure on large scale design projects as well as work with some of the largest clients in the GCC. As a Junior Code Developer, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing existing applications using VBA, SQL and Python alongside working on integrating various databases with MS Access and SharePoint. You will be collaborating with the team to design and implement new features for existing applications whilst testing, debugging, and fixing bugs in codes. You will be responsible for writing clean maintainable codes whilst also participating in code reviews that contribute to the development of coding standards and best practices. Here’s What You’ll Need: As a suitable candidate you will be degree qualified in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. You will have experience working with programming languages such as VBA, .NET, SQL and Python and a strong understanding of databases and experience working with MS Access, PostgreSQL. You will be experienced using FileSystemObject, SharePoint client object model and REST API with a good understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall. You will have the ability to write clean, well-documented and maintainable code with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. You must have strong communication and interpersonal skills alongside good time-management and organizational skills.
