We are hiring a Senior Data Scientist to our GPS team in Portugal !
We’re currently seeking a skilled and motivated Data Scientist with experience in Revenue Assurance initiatives.
In this role, you will play a key part in building data-driven, intelligent systems to optimize our payment processes, detect fraudulent activities, and ensure revenue processes are accurately managed from sale to charge and order to cash.
You will work closely with the team leader to actively contribute to the initial roadmap.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders, to identify and define data-driven solutions to improve revenue assurance and optimize our billing and payment systems.
- Analyze large, complex data sets and develop models to support our decision-making processes, optimize payment processing, detect potential fraud, and ensure accurate revenue recognition.
- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines to ingest, process, and analyze data from various sources, including transaction data, user behavior data, and external data sources.
- Implement machine learning algorithms and statistical models to predict user behavior, identify opportunities for growth, and improve payment success rates.
- Develop visualizations and dashboards to communicate data-driven insights and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of data-driven solutions, and continuously refine and optimize models and algorithms to ensure their ongoing effectiveness in revenue assurance.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data science, analytics, and revenue assurance to contribute to the team's continuous improvement and innovation.
WHO YOU ARE
- Holds a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
- A Data Scientist with solid experience in data science, analytics, or a related field, with a focus on revenue assurance initiatives.
- Proficient in programming languages such as Python, R, or Scala.
- Experienced with machine learning libraries and frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch or Scikit-learn.
- Have strong understanding of statistical methods, including regression, clustering, and hypothesis testing.
- Familiar with big data technologies and platforms, such as Hadoop, Spark, or Google BigQuery.
- Experienced with data visualization tools, such as Tableau or D3.js.
- A problem solver and passionate about working with data to uncover insights and drive business decisions.
- An excellent communicator and collaborator, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- In addition to the previous points, would be nice if you :
- Are experienced in the billing and payment industry or have a strong understanding of payment systems, fraud detection, and risk management.
- Are knowledgeable of cloud platforms, such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Are familiar with SQL and NoSQL databases, such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Cassandra.
