We are looking for a talented Game Developer Project Manager with a strong background in C++ programming and game development software to join our team. As a Game Developer Project Manager, you will oversee the development of games, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will work closely with our game development teams, as well as with other departments such as art, design, audio, QA, and marketing.
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and scope of work, ensuring that milestones and deliverables are met on time and within budget.
- Coordinate and communicate with development teams, stakeholders, and external partners to ensure that projects are aligned with business goals, vision, and priorities.
- Identify and mitigate risks, issues, and dependencies that may impact project timelines, budget, or quality, and develop contingency plans.
- Develop and maintain project documentation, such as project plans, status reports, meeting minutes, and change requests.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, and promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
- Ensure that games meet or exceed quality standards, including performance, stability, functionality, usability, and player satisfaction.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies, and apply them to our projects.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management in the gaming industry, with a proven track record of delivering successful games on time, on budget, and to high-quality standards.
- Strong understanding of game development pipelines, processes, and tools, such as Unreal Engine, Unity, Cocos2D-X, and CryEngine.
- Proficient in C++ programming language and its features, including templates, lambdas, and modern syntax.
- Familiarity with game engine subsystems and APIs, such as Unreal Networking, AI, Physics, and Materials.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and lead teams to achieve project goals.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects with multiple dependencies, competing priorities, and changing requirements.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks and issues proactively.
- Familiarity with game development disciplines, such as programming, art, design, audio, and QA, and the ability to provide feedback and guidance on each discipline.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Game Development, Business Administration, or related fields.
