Role Description

As the System Engineer, you will get the unique opportunity to be a part of a cross-functional engineering team developing technologies and innovative product solutions across the Automotive Cockpit Electronics Sector.

This position is responsible for elicitation, analysis, documenting and maintaining the requirements specification and modelling the system architecture for cockpit electronics like in-vehicle infotainment, instrument cluster, display, etc.

Projects may include the development part of externally OEM-funded or internally funded research and development programs. For all assigned projects, the System Engineer works closely with R&D Engineering disciplines especially with Software and Hardware Engineering team also with Project Management Office, Business Development.


Role Responsibilities


  • Defines and manages the scope of a development project to ensure continued alignment with contract
  • Work in conjunction with the user experience design team to define, scope, and refine
  • the user-facing features and interactions.
  • Design, implement, and deliver the in-vehicle software utilizing the underlying platform,
  • frameworks, and SDKs.
  • Work in conjunction with platform software engineers to analyze and optimize the
  • system to achieve a highly responsive user experience.
  • Diagnose, analyze, and resolve relevant issues based on testing, and user validation.


Role Qualifications


  • BS/BE minimum in the areas of Computer Science, Computer engineering, Electrical
  • engineering, or other related fields
  • At least 3 years of professional experience programming with C/C++
  • Writing user space applications in C/C++ for Embedded Linux environment
  • Experience developing user interfaces using QT/QML on embedded Linux systems for
  • either consumer or automotive markets
  • Understanding of threading, message queues, IPC, and memory management
  • Understanding of Linux Applications on Embedded devices
  • Understanding of threading, message queues, IPC, and memory management
  • Understanding of Remote Procedure Call and Data Serialization
  • Understanding of advanced software engineering techniques
  • Knowledge of multiple areas of software engineering
  • Experience implementing automated tests, including unit, functional, and integration
  • Tests
  • Advanced version control and SCM knowledge such as Subversion, Git, Mercurial.
  • Testing and debugging experience on embedded Linux platform.


Nice to have


  • Experience in V -Model SDLC project management system
  • Knowledge of automotive standards: ASPICE, ISO26262, AUTOSAR, etc
