Full Stack Developer .Net C# Application Developer Lead Analyst
Role
As a .Net Full Stack Developer, you will be joining the Cigna technology team responsible for building and maintaining digital applications and services supporting our rapidly growing Middle East region.
Working as a member of an agile team, you’ll be responsible for supporting existing customized solutions in addition to developing new solutions, features and enhancements to support our Health Services business.
We are rapidly expanding the team to embark on a major change initiative to augment an existing application ecosystem to enable our business to expand into new markets in the MEA region and beyond. This is an exciting time to become part of the Cigna technology team, working on an initiative that is laying the foundations for our future state technology stack that will ultimately be used across our international business.
About You
You’re an experienced Full Stack .Net developer with a strong track record of delivery and the desire to learn additional technical skills in complementary toolkits and packages.
Passionate about all things technology and keep up to date with the latest industry trends and products.
The type of person that loves the challenge of solving complex technical problems by thinking outside the box.
Core responsibilities:
Undertakes analysis, design and produces technical specification documentation for new development work and changes to existing applications.
Develops customised solutions leveraging the Microsoft .Net framework and utilizing ASP.Net, SQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and C#
Works as a member of an Agile Scrum team, delivering business value deployments in sprints of 2 weeks.
Acts a lead technical resource for .Net application related design, performance, security and configuration considerations.
Ensures that solutions adhere to software development best practices and security policies and control standards outlined in the Cigna Information Protection policy
Ensuring any developed solutions are written to be maintainable, scalable, testable and deployable.
Essential:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Sciences or equivalent or a related discipline
Minimum of 5 years' experience in supporting and developing .Net C# solutions in a production environment
Expert knowledge/experience in Asp.net web application / ASPX forms
Expert knowledge/experience in jQuery and Angular
Extensive knowledge/experience in oracle PL SQL and SQL
Good knowledge in React.Js, Node.js, Bootstrap.
Good knowledge in REST/SOAP standards.
Strong experience with Web services, WCF and Service Orientated Architecture
Excellent problem solving skills and a flair for reverse engineering complex code.
Comfortable working on a variety of tasks simultaneously with excellent organisational skills.
A passion for .Net and building scalable solutions
Desirable:
Microsoft Certified.
Experience of using Microsoft Azure Devops or Jira
Experience of using Crystal Reports
Experience with Qlikview.
Experience gained within a financial services organization
Experience of mentoring and supporting other developers.
Experience working with Agile development methodologies
