Experience And Skills Required

  • 5+ years of experience
  • Experience in projects for software development, hardware installations, network upgrades, cloud computing and virtualization rollouts, business analytics and data management projects and implementing IT services
  • Strong knowledge of the software development and IT product design life-cycle, recognized for delivering leading-edge solutions that consistently meet complex business requirements
  • Project management experience, preferably with large, complex implementation efforts
  • Business analysis and project management skillsets while coming from a background in finance, banking, technological service provision
  • Proficiency in building strong relationships with IT staff, customers, vendors and third-party contractors
  • Proven track record of delivering IT projects within budget, scope and schedule
  • Hands on experience managing project risk, cost, schedule, quality, testing, and communications
  • Strong risks and business impact analysis and reporting skills
  • Demonstrated experience presenting information related to projects, both orally and written, in front of “c-level” management
  • Demonstrated experience with procurement process for large IT implementations
  • Ability to facilitate communication and creative project kick-off, lessons learned, project updates, and the integration of work from multiple teams
  • Demonstrate technical architecture/infrastructure knowledge and experience, including multiple hardware platforms and operating systems
  • Strong leadership, organizational, interpersonal and time management skills
  • Lead and support functional teams to make their goals in complex and challenging environments
  • Project Management Certification (PMP)
  • Solid work experience with project management tools

Job Description

  • Responsibility for the successful completion of end to end project work, including all work products
  • Oversight of projects comprised of multiple deliverables, including delegation and coordination of tasks
  • Responsibility for creation and management of the integrated project plan, execution of the project plan, project status, meetings, scope changes, risk and issue tracking/mitigation, coordination across project teams, etc.
  • Negotiations internal and external to the project teams
  • Managing scope, resources, timelines, costs/budget, quality, communication, and procurements to meet the goals of the State
  • Development and execution of training and education on standard project management requirements and methods, facilitating project governance and reporting, and creating models to improve business decisions
  • Efforts typically include extensive changes to existing functionality or the implementation of new applications and/or technology
