Interested in using your technical savvy to support artists and innovate the music industry? Music technology advancements mean that there are more artists and music than ever before, but the process for sending and receiving music across the industry is utterly disconnected. Labels receive too many demos to handle, artists are left with no responses, hidden gems are missed, and communities are damaged.

LabelRadar streamlines the whole process and democratizes access to key decision-makers in the industry. Where you come in

We are looking to hire driven and talented full-stack software engineers to join our development team. Ideal candidates have a long track record of broadly-based dev skills, project successes, positive and constructive attitudes and can balance the demands of the software development lifecycle with their team.

Our web application stack is mostly javascript for frontend (Angular w/Ionic, Cordova), Java for API and middle tier development, backed by MySQL, deployed on AWS infrastructure. Along with these types of technologies, a solid foundation of software design principles and a positive, collaborative attitude is what we are looking for. We are passionate about music and culture and hope you are too!

The Role

This is a high impact role in a growing company. You’ll require strong full-stack development skills to build software in all parts of the application, from the mobile & web apps down to the database and everything in between. You’ll work directly with your team lead and Product Owner to plan and execute our software development goals every quarter. You’ll work alongside the product team to understand and translate their vision into working software.

This role requires eligibility to live and work in the UK without need for visa sponsorship. The right full-stack Software Engineer can be purely remote from anywhere in the UK.

As a Full-stack Software Engineer you are accountable for:

Developing software on a daily basis throughout our stack (API’s, front-end applications and tests)
Fixing bugs
Maintaining the quality of the software through continual automation and codebase improvements
Ownership of your assigned tasks until they are complete
Collaborating with the product owner on a frequent basis regarding features and user stories
Participating in sprint planning, feature demonstrations, and contributing to the best practices of your team

As a Full-stack Engineer you will require:

2-4+ years of software engineer experience
Demonstrable proficiency with Java, Spring/Spring Boot, and full-stack javascript (Typescript a bonus)
Experience developing user interfaces for mobile consumption (Ionic / Cordova a bonus), with strong overall CSS knowledge
Strong experience with web protocols (HTTP, REST API’s, websockets, OAuth workflows, )
In-depth knowledge of building web applications with Angular
Good proficiency with writing SQL queries and data modeling in MySQL or other RDBMS
Dedication to designing and writing clean, understandable and testable code
Professional and best-practices approach to writing and maintaining code in a team environment
Open, honest communication and a positive attitude

Experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, databases, networking, machine learning/AI, or previous roles in the music industry are all great bonuses to bring to the role.
