What you will be doing:

• identify any errors in the schema, queries, configuration, and overall usage of databases;
• collaborate with back-end, DevOps, QA, and security teams to plan and continuously enhance all aspects of working with databases;
• validate modifications made to the database by other teams;
• monitor the performance of queries and provide recommendations to other teams on how to optimize them.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of active engagement with MySQL 5.7+ (or Percona) and ElasticSearch;
• knowledge in configuring clusters of varying sizes, from small to medium, and safely managing backup and restoration processes;
• understanding of methods for optimizing, testing, and profiling schema and queries;
• familiarity with OLAP databases and NoSQL solutions (preferably MongoDB/Redis);
• proficient in using Docker as well as with docker-compose and other infrastructure-as-code tools.(e.g. Terraform/Ansible/SaltStack);
• you are skilled in expedited investigation and resolution of database problems;
• you have experience in benchmarking diverse database configuration setups;
• Upper-Intermediate level of English (verbal & written) - you should be capable of discussing topics, related to work.
